The Domino Effect

In present people are really connected, sometimes it has a good effect but sometimes it has a bad effect. We realize the power of Blog, Vlog, FaceBook, Youtube, Online Forum, etc, can changes people habits to expressed their full expression on the net, that’s because their information and communication has no borders anymore. Maybe, all of ours plan to vacation starting from the Internet, maybe what will we buy of some product it starting from the Internet.

When they feels not comfortable from our first impression, it will make people are not interest for what you offer to them. Just make a good first impression, build super mutual relationship with your customer, ask them in the next day they purchase and treat them as your partner in business also build your sales person character in your company as a “trusted business advisor”, don’t play “hit and run”. Customer are your real sales person, why?...they can be your budget less advisor for your product to other people, if their disappointed with you, trust me your company bad news is free to blow up into the surface, they write their “anger” on the newspaper, magazine, on the blog, etc, that can make your company have a bad perception from other people. And the most important things is, confirming your customer for what you offer to them, make them (your customer) our advisor for what they expect, want, and needs from our company, make a pooling on the Internet for what will you offer to them.

We as a Marketer must find the way to getting out from the Crowd, market are getting Crowd, customer are getting Crowd, product are getting Crowd. Find your brand differentiation, make your brand character is different from others. It’s the brand character that can pull the Crowd. It’s like selling ice cream in the snowy place, selling sand in the dessert, selling fist in the ocean, etc.

So, get out from the Crowd and create a good effect from your customer to recommend your company and what you offer to other people…

The New Wave Marketing!...

The New Wave Marketing!...this is the new age of Marketing that use mobile, experiental, and social tools for our Marketing activity, I realize it even before I attend The MarkPlus Conference 09 at Pacific Place the Ritz Carlton-Jakarta by Mr. Hermawan Kartajaya with The New Wave Marketing for it's conference theme. But sometime we don't realize what we have done with our concept before someone talk to public about it.

I just want to share a little bit knowledge that I know about The New Wave Marketing, first the mobile tools, it's use such mobile technology like Mobile Phone, PDA, Blackberry, Pocket PC, etc. People in present are so mobile, they can read our promo, our air voucher by Mobile Phone, even the air voucher will replace the conventional print voucher. Because the internet user is increase more than 73 % for it's user than other media like TV or Radio...Second the experiental tools, our differentiation is our main tools when people doing repeat buyer or order, try to make a good first impression then maintain the mutual relationship with your customer, don't over promise under deliver...third the social tools, your customer is your real sales person!...why?...because people prefer hear some testimonial from friends for buying such product, or by the social online media with two way communication and they can expressed their expression without any shy anymore such as facebook, youtube, wikipedia, my space, blog, etc. they will buy from what their hear and leave for what they hear too. Community and membership is the effective promotion, your company will get budget less promotion, like the Motorcycle community when they get touring for the long distance trip it's like your company mobile banner that doing promo without any cost.

It's up to you to go down to earth and get low budget high impact Marketing or still use the conventional Marketing that have high budget by the TV ad, etc and the impact is still can be predicted...In present, people are really connected...

MARKETING MIX ≠ It’s A Simple Marketing

Marketing Mix, merupakan formula yang dikemukakan oleh Jerome McCarthy yang menyimpulkan bahwa Marketing adalah 4 P’s. 4 P’s ini terdiri dari Product, Price, Place, dan Promotion, atau Produk, Harga, Tempat, dan Promosi. Walau saat ini Marketing telah melalui proses dan perubahan yang ekstrim, seperti situasi, kondisi, dan pasar yang berubah-ubah sampai para “Marketer” pun sulit memprediksi apa yang akan terjadi di pasar masa depan.

Maka dari itu kita sebagai Marketer tidak perlu berfikir dengan rumus Marketing yang sulit-sulit, cukup menerapkan Marketing Mix yang baik dan “agak beda” (harus punya diferensiasi), mulai dari memformulasikan 4 P yang sesuai dengan perusahaan kita, meneliti (lewat internet, blog, pooling, forum, dll) yang mudah, serta mengaplikasikan atau menjalankannya.

Product, adalah Value yang kita tawarkan berikut service-nya. Price merupakan Cost yang dikeluarkan customer yang harus sesuai dengan Value dari Product yang ditawarkan. Place adalah infrastructure yang harus dibangun sesuai dengan Product dan Price. Ketiga hal ini (Product, Price, dan Place) adalah Content yang kita miliki. Kemudian Promotion adalah Context atau cara yang sesuai untuk mengkomunikasikan Product, Price, dan Place kita.

Setelah kita mendapat keempat formulasi tersebut yaitu Marketing Mix atau 4 P yang sesuai dengan yang kita tawarkan, kita bisa memposisikan diri melalui feedback yang diberikan customer kepada kita, karena kita tidak mungkin membuat positioning yang nyata terlebih dahulu sebelumnya, seperti “Uniquely Singapore” para pelancong akan menemukan bahwa Singapore itu unik setelah mereka merasakannya. Pihak Singapore pun bisa membuat tagline seperti itu juga tidak main-main. Hal itu harus melalui proses yang panjang, walau kita harus bisa memformulasikan positioning ini sesuai dengan corporate culture atau budaya yang kita miliki, dan hal itu (positioning) hanya tinggal menunggu waktu dimana customer-lah yang akan memberitahukan posisi kita ini ada dimana. Fokus dan terapkan dengan konsisten Marketing Mix anda.

So, just re-mix your Marketing Mix…
